Lognan Lift Watch Part 1

The diggers are in & the chairs & cables are off

By Ellie Mahoney, Updated

A couple of days ago we told you that work has started on the new gondola that's replacing the old Lognan chair lift at Grands Montets.

We're going to be keeping you up to date with progress on the construction throughout the summer, so here are the first of many photos to keep you up to speed with the progress.

As of today the cables have gone, leaving the pylons looking very rusty and redundant, and all the chairs seem to have been stacked up in the main car park (although we did see four of them outside the Mercure Hotel yesterday so who knows what they're going to do with them?!)

The good news is that you can still walk your dogs and bike or hike around the edges of the building work for now.
