Hot tub party on Mont Blanc
The prize for the most random event in Chamonix this summer definitely goes to the group of 20 people that held a party in a huge jacuzzi on the top of Mont Blanc. Well, it's not quite huge but when you've got to lug the thing up there yourself, it's big enough!
Organised by Jacuzzi Events, specialists in holding hot tub parties in weird places, the party goers each had to carry around 45 pounds of equipment to the top which had been custom-made to work with less oxygen, lower pressure and "against wind and freezing temperatures."
Setting out at 3pm on September 12th, the team finally reached the summit at 5am the next day. After a few logistical and technical hitches, the tub was built, filled, heated and then dived into and the party could begin.
