Day 4 at the X Games in Tignes and Jenny Jones wins Gold
Jenny Jones takes Gold in Tignes at the European X-Games!!!
Jenny Jones has just come off the slopestyle course in Tignes with her third gold in X-Games slopestyle.
The British rider had qualified in first place after Tuesday's elimination round and had gone into the final as the favourite. By the end of the first round however she was sitting in second place with Norweigen Kjersti Bauss in first place. Both girls had 720's in their runs but Jenny's was not as clean as her rivals and so as the second round began she was chasing for the top spot on the podium.
On her second run however she was back to the form that has seen her take gold twice before at the X-Games. Her run was far more stylish and controlled and she landed all he hits cleanly. By the time her final run came round she had already claimed her third X-Games gold but she stepped up to the plate and went for her most technical run to date.
Last night was the Women's superpipe final and favourite Torah Bright was looking very strong but it was the American Kaitlyn Farrington who took gold with an amazing run.
The Men's ski slopestyle has just finished with Tom Wallisch in first Bobby Brown in second and Jossi Wells in third, we'll have footage of that in tomorrow's report.
