Work towards the certificate began in 2011 for Chamonix with the involvement of over 70 partner organisations throughout the valley.
The list of 31 criterias demanded by the Flocon Vert association have all been met and include the improved management of transport, energy, buildings, water, waste, public spaces and land.

Chamonix will officially be awarded the Flocon Vert on the 15th of October.
