Chamonix attracts the French film stars

Following the success of the films such as “Les Aiguilles Rouges” which was entirely filmed in the Chamonix valley, the town continues to attract an average of two films a year and 2008 is set to continue the trend.

Look out for Brice de Nice actor Jean Dujardin hanging out in town as he stars in the sequel to “OSS 117 Cairo, Nest of Spies” which starts filming in Chamonix at the end of January. And if you've not seen Brice de Nice yet, it's well worth renting for a good old chuckle!

There's also two other films with a wealth of French stars, that are set to descend on Chamonix, so budding actors keep a look out – in the past the producers have posted adverts at the Mairie and even in the job centre in the Residence Mummery looking for extras!
