2460 skiers and boarders on the Piste Verte in Les Houches!

Last week we told you about the bid to form a human chain of skiers and snowboarders the entire length of the famous Piste Verte in Les Houches, all in aid of promoting Annecy's 2018 Winter Olymic bid which would bring events to Chamonix valley - such a French thing to do that just warms our hearts!

Well, the weather was good to everyone on Saturday and a cracking 2460 skiers and boarders joined in the fun resulting in a human chain 3343m long down the entire length of the Verte. It was a great atmosphere and really quite impressive when seen from air, as these photos taken from a helicopter show.

And it was nice to see Morillon's current Men's Downhill Olympic Gold medallist Antoine Deneriaz with all the other VIPs cheering along the crowd...oooh what a nice young man!
