Group Ski Lessons, Chamonix Valley

This ski school brings together a team of individual instructors, each with a world class background in the world of snowsports. Each instructor has a wealth of experience in their specialised field of skiing or snowboarding as well as a vast knowledge of the sport overall.

These instructors don't follow teaching templates or scripts. Their teaching is individualised and adapted to your own personal learning styles. By taking the time and care to identify your individual learning techniques, these instructors teach in a way that makes a real difference and ensures real progression in your skiing technique.

There are a variety of group lessons on offer for a range of ages and skiing abilities, including:

Junior Groups

These are a great choice for children and teenagers who already have a bit of experience on the snow and want to progress in an enjoyable environment. There is the choice of either Blue Groups or Red Groups. Blue Groups are the perfect choice for skiers who have been on blue runs but need a little more development on them. You should choose this group if you currently ski with your skis in a plough through the turn and parallel at the end. Blue Groups are working towards basic parallel turns on greens and easy blues. Red Groups are for those who can ski the whole mountain keeping parallel skis through the turns. In a Red Group, you work towards a variety of parallel techniques (carved, long, short) on all pistes.

Academy Groups

These lessons are available to children and teenagers who have already completed the Junior Red Group with Freedom Snowsports. These groups work on the continued development of specialised skills that diversify the sport of skiing; allowing you to travel further, safer and over more varied terrain. Skills such as piste performance, steeps, off piste, bumps and freestyle are all covered. Skiers will also develop mountain awareness, understanding of safety procedures and use of safety equipment; all of which go hand in hand with modern skiing.

As well as their group lessons, this ski school offers private lessons, off piste guiding, specialised bumps & moguls classes, full moon ski tours and alpine touring courses for adults. As long as you can move safely around all pistes, you're ready to join in!
