About Chamonix ski pass prices
Ski pass prices for the 2025 - 2026 ski season
Chamonix has nearly 3km of vertical and the highest lift-accessed off-piste anywhere in the world. But Chamonix isn’t only for powder hounds and extreme riders. It’s a resort for all levels, and there are lift passes here to suit all types of winter sports enthusiasts.
For skiers and snowboarders, your main options are:
- Chamonix Le Pass - gives you access to the Brévent-Flégère, Grands Montets and Balme ski areas
- Mont Blanc Unlimited - covers all areas in the Chamonix valley, including the Aiguille du Midi lift (3,842m) and a whole lot more
- Les Houches - St Gervais pass - gives you access to 31km of groomed pistes in the Les Houches resort, but nowhere else in the valley
A ski pass is the same thing as a lift pass - it's a credit card sized ticket that allows you to ride the lifts and ski the slopes in Chamonix. Most people buy a six day pass if they're coming for a week.

Annual and season passes in Chamonix

If you're planning to spend more than 21 days in the mountains this winter, you've got two options to save money on your lift journeys:
- buy a season pass (or annual pass if you're planning to stay for the summer)
- buy a Mont Blanc Rapid card
Season Pass
A season pass costs roughly the equivalent of a three week ski pass, so it's excellent value if you're staying in the valley for a while. You pay a fixed price and then ride the lifts as often or as little as you like.
To get the best price, you'll need to buy your season pass before 30 November 2025.
Pay as you go
A Mont Blanc Rapid card is a pay-as-you-go service where:
- you get around 20% off the cost of a daily lift pass on all of the Compagnie du Mont Blanc lifts
- every seventh day is free
- your account is debited weekly, rather than you having to pay at the kiosk each time you go up
You'll need to buy a €50 card upfront.

Ski pass insurance in Chamonix

The prices on this page do not include insurance.
You’ll be given the option to add ski insurance when you buy your ski pass. This is provided by e-gloo and normally costs around €3 a day.
You don’t have to buy insurance from the lift company, but we can’t stress enough how important it is to have a snow sports policy in place before you come skiing or snowboarding in Chamonix.
Hopefully you’ll never have an accident. But if you have to be helicoptered off the mountain, or spend any time in hospital in France, you could end up with a huge bill.
