These big hearted rugby players, still mourning the loss of former team mate Jerry Collins, will be taking on the ascent of Mont Blanc in order to raise money to support the people of Nepal after the devastating earthquake.

Toulon Rugby Club team mates, New Zealand born Carl Hayman, Steffon Armitage from Trinidad and Tobago and Frenchman Thomas Sourice will soon undertake the challenge to climb the magnificent Mont Blanc. Plans are in place for them to leave from St Gervais on Saturday 20th June, with the support of the City Council who have assisted with the organisation.

Their objective is to scale the 4810 metre high mountain and to raise funds for the charity 'Samasara' whose aim is to support children, adults and families in the remote villages of Nepal, to improve their living conditions and assist with accommodation, nutrition, health, education and training.

News of their challenge comes only days after the news of the death of ex Toulon team mate and former New Zealand Rugby Captain Jerry Collins, who was killed in a car crash, along with his wife, in the south of France on the 5th June.

We wish them luck in their challenge! To support the charity and to donate, please visit their website.
