As ever there has been a huge amount of interest in the various races of the UTMB, and this year a record number of individuals and teams have registered.

Over 14,000 people have made applications to take part in the UTMB, OCC, CCC, TDS and PTL, the largest number to date.

The UTMB is oversubscribed to the tune of 201% with 4600 people applying for only 2300 places, and the CCC has had 126% subscriptions.

Registrations closed yesterday for the UTMB, OCC, CCC &TDS, although the PTL will only close when they have 250 runners signed up, so there may well still be places left.

With so many people vying for places a ballot will be held. In this case it will be a computerised draw, and the places allocated will be announced on 14th January at 10am French time. If you're lucky enough to get drawn, you'll have 14 days to confirm your place. Find out more details on the UTMB website (link above).
