Flegere 4x4 track closed for works

By Greg van der Donk, Updated

Due to works pertaining to the improvement of the Flegere cable car, the 4x4 track going up from the valley to the mid-station will be closed to all traffic, including pedestrians and bikers.

The works will be in preparation for the placement of pylons for the new gondola which is set to open in December 2019. 2018/19 will be the last season for the existing Flegere cable car, the system is old and often causes significant bottlenecks during peak periods so this is great news!

There are plenty of lifts open in Chamonix in the summer, enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the valley!
