French air traffic control have gone on strike again in a dispute over working conditions. The original strike was meant for the end of last month, but was delayed after the crash of the Germanwings flight.

Short haul flights are expected to be worst affected with disruption across the whole country. The strike started at 5am this morning and is expected to last for 48 hours.

Ryanair have said they're to cancel around 250 flights, with EasyJet & British Airways following suit, cancelling 118 and 12 flights respectively. Industry experts are saying they expect around half of all flights between the UK & France to be cancelled overall.

Cancelled services include return flights between Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Gatwick, Paris and Luton, Gatwick and Toulouse, plus flights between Gatwick and Spain.

The airline urged all passengers going to France to check the status of their flight online before they travel.

As well as today's strike, another one is expected between 29th April to 2nd May, plus more delays are expected as the British government has introduced a new type of passport check to verify passports.
