Mountain guides filmed as they try to find missing climbers
We recently reported on the tragic deaths of local mountain guide Olivier Sourzac and his client, Charlotte Demetz, who had set out to climb the Linceuil route on the Grandes Jorasses but were trapped by bad weather for 6 days on the descent before their bodies were recovered on 9th November.
A number of search parties set out to find the pair, one lead by Olivier’s brother and fellow mountain guide Bruno Sourzac, but all were hampered by bad weather. This video shows Bruno’s mission to find his brother, filmed by TVmountain.com reporter David Autheman.
