Vallorcine MTB Track - Well Underway!
The latest from the Compagnie du Mont Blanc is that the new mountain bike track from Les Posettes to Vallorcine is coming along nicely! The track is currently being carved out by a digger and obstacles and signposts are apparently soon to follow.
The new route is designed solely for the use of mountain bikes and although two very short sections in the middle and at the end of the trail will join up with the 4x4 track, the route will be clearly marked and made safe for bikers. It does not follow the same path as the walking trail through the forest.
CdMB have been busy this summer improving existing MTB trails, fitting the Autannes chairlift (Le Tour) with new mountain bike carriers and installing a washing station at the bottom of Vallorcine. Forthcoming projects for bikers in the Chamonix valley include a new global bike park, planned for next summer.
