Talents Aiguilles 2009 - Sign Up Now!
The annual Talents Aiguilles ladies weekend returns to Chamonix once more, so get stuck in and try something new! Each year Salomon teams up with the Compagnie du Mont Blanc to host a weekend of great free activities and events - just for the girls! This year's event takes place next weekend 10th-11th January.
Compagnie du Mont Blanc is offering a FREE lift pass to the first 1000 women to enrol, and everyone else can enjoy a 50% reduction on the normal price of a Chamonix Le Pass day pass. Get in quick and sign up on the website below.
Access to the Nordic trails (cross-country ski and snowshoe) will be free of charge for the duration of the weekend and make sure you sign up at one of the Salomon tents for a free ski or snowboard lesson. Tents will be at the Brévent, Flégère, Lognan (Grands Montets) and Balme (Le Tour) ski areas and instructors will be on hand to give on-piste or freeride lessons every 2 hours at 10am, midday and 2pm. You can then warm up with a free hot drink from any of the mountain restaurants! There will also be a selection of the latest Salomon skis and snowboards for you to try out for up to 2 hours at a time.
Those who want to take their weekend a little easier can gain free entry to the Espace Tairraz, Cristal Museum and Alpine Museum.
The festival atmosphere will continue down in the town as live music and entertainments will take place throughout the day and into the evening around the centre of Chamonix. Although details have yet to be confirmed, previous years have seen many shops and bars giving generous discounts or special gifts to women who have taken part in the event.
So - if your technique needs a little polishing, you fancy trying a new snow sport, or you just want to have a laugh with the girls look out for the Salomon logo around Chamonix town and the ski areas this weekend!
