The Refuge des Cosmisques reopened this Saturday after having been closed since mid-October.

Helicopters were making trips there and back on Thursday to transport supplies and the staff have been getting everything ready for the first visitors.

The refuge is a popular stopping point on the ascent up to Mont Blanc and is accessible from the Aiguille du Midi. It is very popular with climbers in both winter and summer, so booking is advised. You can find out more from the Maison de La Montagne in the centre of Chamonix or by clicking on the website link below.
