Part of the Hameau Albert Premier five-star hotel, this restaurant has been run by the Carrier family since 1903. Pierre Carrier is the fifth generation of his family to run this restaurant, and under chef Damien Leveau's guidance the menu is a perfect example of 'authentic regional fare'.
The son of a grain farmer, Leveau is originally from Chartres and is self-taught, spending four years as the sous chef at Albert 1er under succeeding chefs Pierre Carrier and Pierre Maillet.
The restaurant prides itself on perfectly pairing their wines to the menu, and the Carrier family wine cellar is no small thing. With 19,000 bottles, over 1,000 references, you'll find 640 wines are featured on the menu, so be prepared when you ask for the wine list...
