Kandahar 2007

The dates for next years Kandahar on “La Verte” piste in Les Houches have been initially forecast for the weekend of 19th-21st January 2007. The race which comprises three categories; downhill, slalom and super combined was cancelled this year due to poor visibility. Federation International du Ski (FIS) are keen for the race to be put back to the beginning of March but the Chamonix club des sports disagrees. They are not happy with the race being scheduled in the midst of the busy school holiday period and running the risque of warmer weather threatening the condition of the course. Negotiations continue.
