Fire in Gite in Vallorcine
15 People Evacuated, One Hospitalised
At around midnight last night a fire broke out in a gite in Vallorcine, near Chamonix.
The blaze affected two apartments in the gite and the Chamonix fire department were called to the scene. 15 people were evacuated from the building and temporarily accommodated at the mairie in Vallorcine for the night.
One person was taken to hospital in Sallanches suffering from smoke inhalation.
