Father and daughter perish in climbing accident
Yesterday afternoon, shortly after midday, a 54 year old French man and his 20 year old daughter fell to their deaths whilst climbing the Aiguille du Chardonnet.
They were on the Eperon Migot (north spur) on an arête of 3750m when it is thought that one of them slipped, pulling the other with them, both falling around 300m.
The man and woman were from the Loire region and were members of the French Alpine Club.
