F1 star Jean Alesi brings his team to Chamonix

Not content with a plethora of celebs in Chamonix over New Year, news has reached us of a gaggle of motorsport stars who are in resort this week until the 17th Jan.

Headed by ex-Formula 1 racing car driver Jean Alesi is leading his team of young French motorsport talent for a week in Chamonix. It's no holiday though as the team is here to train, with gym, acclimatisation, climbing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing and swimming on the programme.

Jean Alesi has been appointed head of the FFSA, which is the French motorsport association, with specific responsibilities for inspiring and training the new hopes such as Sebastien Ogier the 2008 Junior World Rally champion who hopes to breaking into the World Rally Championships in 2009.

The team will also be working closely with Pierre Henry from ENSA (the national ski and alpinism school in Chamonix) a doctor specialising in fitness training and acclimatisation.
