As you may or may not know, the done thing in France is to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. As we're typing this, there'll be oysters, smoked salmon, foie gras and gorgeous chocolate logs being prepared the length and breadth of the Chamonix valley.
But of course, Chrimbo just wouldn't be Chrimbo without that slightly rotund man in a red suit and some Christmas carols, so here's the lowdown on what to see when in town tonight:
16:00 Christmas Carols in French and English in the Place Blamat (by the post office) and we're all invited to join in the sing song
17:00 to 18:00 Places des Alpes (in front of Snell Sports) has 'Chant des Neiges' show
18:10 The big man himself arrives in the Place d'Amitie (in front of the church and tourist office) with the help of his friends from ESF and the Guides. With any luck there'll be choccies, vin chaud and hot choc if it's anything like previous years!
19:00 and 22:00 Is Mass at the main church in Chamonix
20:00 is Mass at the church in Argentiere
Of course, with the snow still lovely and the stunning light displays in Chamonix this winter, it feels really Christmassy and that's just in the town before you've even hit the slopes.
Have a great Christmas from all at Chamonet and may all your Christmas wishes come true!
