At the end of April we let you know about the new tablets being delveoped by the Chamonix Tourist Office, and this Friday sees them being launched to the public.

The tablets will be shown to the public for the first time on Friday from 6pm at the Tourist office in the centre of Chamonix, then on Saturday you can sign up to road-test one of the tablets yourself for the day.

Tablets will be available to hire from any of the tourist offices in the valley from 09:30 and 13:30. After a coffee and a croissant, the guided walks will start at 10:00 and 14:00 respectively.

An app will also be released shortly for you to download from the new website, and the English versions will also be released very soon.

You can rent the tablets from any of the valleys tourist offices for 6 euros per tablet, or 15 euros for 3 tablets. If you have a carte d'hote, resident, gens du pays or seasonnaire card the cost will be 5 euros. A deposit of 100 euros is required.
