Chamonix en Rouge with ESF Party
Huge winter festivities organised by the ESF ski instructors
Similar to the summer Fete des Guides, the Chamonix en Rouge is a huge celebration organised by ESF ski instructors.
This annual party attracts thousands of holiday-makers and this year promises to be a big one.
The French ski school, nicknamed the red tops, have a number of surprises for this years Chamonix en Rouge event including live music, mulled wine, giant tartiflette and hot chocolate.
At 17:00 ESF Red goodies will be handed out to all children in ski school lessons, from the Planards the procession will head off to arrive at 18:00 in front of the Maison de la Montagne (by the tourist office) for the red party. Your chance to meet the ski and snowboard instructors and join with them in a street parade throughout the town.
A lottery will be held with skis, snowboards and helicopter rides as prizes - all profits go towards the ESF Relief Fund.
At 19:45 the night will be illuminated with a huge fireworks display and to the sounds of locals bands.
