Blind snowboarding challenge

featured in News & Reviews Author Helen McGrory, Chamonix Reporter Updated

You may remember last year that we reported on a young guy called Adil Latif who was planning to undertake a heliboarding challenge to raise money for the 2005 Pakistani earthquake victims. Quite a feat in itself but the remarkable thing about Adil is that he is pretty much completely blind and he wanted to snowboard down a glacier!! Well earlier this week he completed his challenge and he has posted the full story on the website link below.

Adil is hoping to raise £14000 to provide a future for 300 children that lost everything in that terrible disaster. He hopes to set up 10 child friendly schools in Pakistan that will be specially focussed on providing an education and more importantly, the emotional support to help them deal with the trauma they have been through. If you would like to help Adil with his challenge then you can contribute to the cause via the Just Giving website.
