A Fine Line - Kilian Jornet's New Film
Film Premiere of Ultra Trail Runner's 'Summits of My Life' Project
For a rare chance to see the legendary Spanish ultra trail runner/ski mountaineer Kilian Jornet in person and in action, come along to the Cinema Vox on the 17th of January for the film premiere of 'A Fine Line'.
'A Fine Line' chronicles the first year of Kilian's 'Summits of My Life' project: a 4 year quest to run the length of the world's greatest mountain ranges as fast as possible. Over the course of the project, Jornet intends to climb Mont Blanc three times, the Matterhorn, Mount Elbrus, Denali, Mount Aconcagua and Mount Everest.
In 2012, the 'Summits of My Life' team suffered a tragic blow when Jornet's partner Stephane Brosse was killed during the first stage of the project. Despite this, the project continues and in September 2012, Kilian Jornet completed the second stage of the project - an incredible solo journey from Courmayeur to Chamonix which saw him cross Mont Blanc in record time.
'A Fine Line' documents the highs and lows of the project so far and takes us on a breathtaking journey over the spectacular snow-covered peaks of the Alps with a small group of extraordinary mountain athletes.
Kilian Jornet will be on hand to answer questions and two screenings of the film are planned for the evening: the first at 19:30 will be with French subtitles and the second at 21:15 will be with English subtitles.
Places are limited and reservations are highly recommended - contact the Cinema Vox for more details.
