A friendly French atmosphere with a great, well-priced, lunch and dinner menu.

Furnished in slightly shabby old wood with photos and news clippings of local mountaineers on the walls, this is a Chamonix institution where you will find ski instructors, mountain guides, locals, seasonal workers and a smattering of tourists all enjoying a sociable drink or two.

Their menu is tasty and good value and features plenty of local dishes such as tartiflette and croute as well as steaks, pastas and enormous salads.

Open daily all year round. Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 02:00, Sunday from 08:00 to 02:00. Food served from midday.
