The terror of being buried captured on camera
This footage from Haines, Alaska shows that when an avalanche starts to slide even a confident skier becomes a passenger as the force and speed of the slide takes control.
It also shows the importance of skiing with people who are able to carry out a self contained search and rescue as it was this skiers friends and the guide who they had with them who saved his life.
