Early winter ski season forecasts looking good
We're excited to bring you the snow report from Chamonix this season as it happens
Here we are back again for another season and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the winter ski season. It’s getting colder with hard frosts now and we’re seeing scattered sprinklings of snow across the Alps. The very high peaks are taking on that majestic freshly snow-clad look once again.
First Snow
The first sprinkling of snow arrived in Chamonix this week. We had to hike up to 2100m to get this photo!
We’re excited about the restrictionless winter ahead and being able to ski at Christmas and New Year this year. While you are waiting to get out here, we’ve had our ear to the ground to bring you What’s New in Chamonix this winter and have been updating our site to bring you the news from Chamonix this winter.
Alongside high-speed ice driving races and New Year parades you’ll find nighttime sledging, the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, Sound Clash disco party, yoga and Enduro racing. These events and more are all in our Events Calendar.
