1 Man Dead in an Avalanche on the Valley Blanche on Wednesday
Party of 7 evacuated after an avalanche on the Grand Envers
7 skiers were caught by an avalanche on Wednesday this week, and one of the party, a Slovenian man sadly lost his life.
They were skiing on the Grand Envers, one of the steeper routes down the Vallee Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi. when the accident happened.
The man was recovered from the slide but was unfortunately already dead on the scene.
The group were evacuated by the PGHM.
