Works Begins Today on the Tunnel des Montets
Work will continue into Spring 2015
Works begin today on the Tunnel des Montets to improve the entrance & exit of the tunnel, as well as the crossing between Montroc and the Chemin des Frasserands, the platform and then finally the parking, flooring, lighting and bus stops.
The budget for the works is 900,000€ and it's set to take place in two phases:
Phase 1 - May 22nd to Autumn 2014
- The layout of the exit of the tunnel (Chemin des Grandes Pièces & Chemin des Frasserands)
- Modification of the intersection of Route du Montroc & Chemin des Frasserands
- Planning the route of the tunnel entrance (Station Square at Montroc and the platform) and moving semi-underground containers
Phase 2 - Spring 2015
- To rearrange the parking at Montroc station and complete all the amenities, landscaped planting, flooring, lighting and bus stops
There will more than likely be traffic restrictions in place whilst the work is carried out, and limited parking available.
