Tragic Parapente Accident Yesterday in Chamonix

Experienced parapenter dies at the Aiguille du Midi

Yesterday morning a fatal accident occurred at the Aiguille du Midi when a parapenter had problems taking off, and hit the rock wall on the North face.

The man fell a considerable distance down the North Face and sadly wasn't alive when rescuers found him.

Guillaume Magnin was an experienced parapenter and local mountain guide. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
