Experienced mountaineer missing on Mont Blanc

Famed Iranian mountaineer Mahdi Amidi Ahang missing since 16th October

The PGHM resuce services have issued a missing notice for Iranian mountaineer Mahdi Amidi Ahang, who was last seen on October 16th at 11 am near the Tête Rousse refuge on the Mont Blanc.

The experienced mountaineer successfully scaled both Everest and Lhotse, famed for being the first Iranian climber to summit these peaks without supplementary Oxygen.

Having arrived in Chamonix on the 14th of October he planned an ascension of the Mont Blanc via the Gouter route. He was last seen near the Tête Rousse refuge on the 16th of October.
