Anyone heading out to sample the Japanese ski season this winter should keep their eyes open for a new product inspired by Mont Blanc.

Pepsi Japan is launching a new limited edition flavour this October which sounds, quite frankly, a bit odd. Not only will this new version taste of chestnuts, it is also apparently made with actual snow from Mont Blanc...!

Pepsi Japan has a history of creating weird and wonderful flavours such as Pepsi Iced Cucumber, Pepsi Shiso (green perilla), Pepsi Blue Hawaii (pineapple & lemon), Pepsi Azuki (red azuki beans) and Pepsi Baobab (an African theme inspired by the World Cup obviously!).

Pepsi Mont Blanc will be launched on October 26th and a bottle is priced at 140 Yen (about €1.24 or £1.06), available only in Japan.

Anyone who is feeling left out of the new drinks craze could always try a tasty bottle of Montania Cola, an Alpine version flavoured with genepi flowers.
