Les Houches gets 40 000 € to develop friendship with Russian resort
The eagle-eyed amongst you might have spotted the signs on the entry to Les Houches announcing that it is twinned with the town of Krasnaya Polyana, a ski resort in the north of Russia and preferred holiday destination of Vladimir Putin.
The Les Houches Mairie is keen to build relations with their twin town and has had a representative out there for 8 months, finding out more about life in the Caucasian mountain resort.
Les Houches has recently been granted 40 000 euros by the French Ministry for Foreign affairs in order to continue their research.
