Hotel Les Lanchers in Chamonix Completes a 1.6m Euro Refurbishment
New facilities include a cocktail bar, free WiFi throughout, sauna, ski storage & drying room
Family-run Hotel Les Lanchers has been undergoing a bit of a transformation, 1.6 million euros worth of transformation to be precise.
The new look hotel now boasts more space to accommodate a larger number of guests, and as part of the refit, the hotel has introduced Italian style ceramic and glass shower rooms, with standard accommodation featuring a Queen size bed, modern furnishings and a range other facilities.
The hotel has also updated its 19 ensuite bedrooms which include; single, double, twin, triple, two-bedroomed family suites and a fully equipped disabled bedroom. Regular guests will also be glad to see passenger lift access to all rooms, especially after a hard day’s skiing or walking.
Five of the recently refurbished rooms are superior double or twin bedrooms with baths and balconies, with all rooms having access to stunning views of the valley with its glaciers and peaks of Mont Blanc Massif.
The “Rendezvous” restaurant is a popular eatary for both guests and locals, with chef Jean-Yves Bourgeois serving a menu based on freshly sourced seasonal produce. The hotel can cater for weddings, business seminars and other private functions with its own separate meeting area.
Jonathan Rogers, co-owner with his wife Céline, of Hotel Les Lanchers commented: “Hotel Les Lanchers has been serving guests for over a hundred years, and we’ve built up a reputation as a friendly, welcoming hotel with a truly personal service. Our excellent staff team remains almost unchanged for the past four years, so our returning guests get to see some familiar faces."
“During our busiest months, we were often at full capacity and were having to turn people away. With our refurbishment, we can welcome more guests and provide a level of service and comfort that we never could before.”
Located a two-minute walk from the La Flégère ski lift, Hotel Les Lanchers is a popular destination for anyone visiting the Chamonix valley, with easy access to a range of popular ski slopes for all ability levels. While the region is popular for winter sport enthusiasts, the valley is also perfect for summer activities such as golfing, paragliding, hiking, cycling and sightseeing around Western Europe’s highest peak.
