Foundation Stone Laid at the Site of the New Fire Station in Chamonix
Opening date is set for the first quarter of 2016
Christian Monteil, the Conseil General of the Haute Savoie region, was in Chamonix yesterday laying the first few stones at the new fire station base.
The old building at the Place du Mont Blanc has been in operation since 1958, and is due to be replaced with a brand new facility close to the hospital on Route des Pèlerins.
The project is costing 10 million euros and work is due to be completed in the first quarter of 2016.
