Fire at the Hotel Hermitage in Chamonix

A chimney fire broke out last night (Tuesday) at around 21h30 in part of the Hotel Hermitage in Chamonix. Although guests were evacuated, nobody is thought to have been hurt in the blaze and guests were provided with alternative accommodation.

The fire has partly destroyed the annexe to the side of the main hotel building and firefighters are continuing to make the site secure this morning.
