Final night of Adventure Film Festival
Festival closes with open-air event in Les Houches
After a successful 3 days of movies, art and photography the Adventure Film Festival draws to a close this evening with a special al fresco screening at Lac des Chavants in Les Houches.
Starting at 9pm there will be 3 movies; Ever Last & the Love Letter, As It Happens, and On a Marché sous le Pôle.
Ever Last & the Love Letter is a 14 minute insight into the life of ultra marathon runner Krissy Moehl, 2 time female winner of the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail.
As It Happens follows Renan Ozturk and Cory Richards in their attempt to establish a new technical Alpine route on Tawoche in Nepal.
On a Marché sous la Pôle tells the tale of 8 explorers who in March 2010 were dropped into the middle of the Arctic Ocean, just 60km from the North Pole, to attempt to film the first report from below the ice shelf. At 52 minutes it is the longest of tonight's films and promises some incredible footage from a fragile and ever-changing environment.
All 3 movies will be well worth a look and entry is free, so get yourself over there and make the most of the warm weather while it lasts!
