CDA-Sofival Merger Still on the Cards

The Compagnie des Alpes has confirmed it is still interested in the Sofival group which manages the lift systems in the resorts of Val d'Isere, Valmorel, La Rosiere and Morzine-Avoriaz. The CDA which already controls Tignes, La Plagne, Les Menuires, Les Arcs, part of Meribel, Flaine, Chamonix and Serre Chevelier, admitted that the two companies would be in discussion until 28th February. The prospective merger would further strengthen the CDA's position as European leader in its field.
