bmibaby to take over Geneva routes when easyJet flees East Midlands Airport

Further to report last week that easyJet is consolidating operations in the UK by pulling out entirely from East Midlands Airport and reducing flights at London Luton, there has been some good news for skiers and boarders who fly in to Geneva.

bmibaby, the 'no frills' arm of BMI Airways, already operates a non-daily return flight from East Midlands airport to Geneva and the company has just announced that it will be adding an extra 18 flights to Geneva this winter. bmibaby will also, for the first time, continue its service in the summer, adding 124 flights to the roster.

As for London Luton, no further news yet on which routes (including Geneva) will be affected by the cuts announced by easyJet.
