Best time of the year to book flights?

According to Expedia, it could be in the next couple of weeks.

The fortnight beginning Monday 29th November and ending Monday 13th December is apparently the best time to bag a cheap flight, as airlines compete for last minute Christmas bookings.

Although airfares are higher on average than during previous years, this winter will apparently see some “unexpectedly good deals” coming our way.

Expedia has noted a recent fall in the price of airline tickets over the previous 30 days, which they predict will continue in the run up to the Christmas holiday season.

Apparently the most economical dates to fly are the 18, 20, 22, 25, 28, 29 December and New Year's Day, with early morning or late evening flights offering the cheapest seats.

So, with the snow falling and flights getting cheaper there's no better reason to book a cheeky little Christmas break!
