One-Day Introduction to Outdoor Photography
Chamonix Adventure Festival Photo & Film School
What better place to learn how to shoot landscape and action than in the heart of the mountains. Chamonix, the mecca of trail running, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, alpine climbing, paragliding, base jumping, speed riding, skiing and more, will offer a diverse set of subjects for you to work with and learn from.
The Adventure Photo School run by Corey Rich and Scott Willson will be running 2 courses in its second year: a one-day introduction to adventure photography and a three-day more advanced class for those interested in digital SLR photography in the outdoors.
We are also very excited to announce the introduction of our new Adventure Film School presented with the support of Epic TV, a three-day course in adventure filming techniques run by local filmmaker Sébastien Montaz-Rosset, and award winning mountain filmmaker Paul Diffley. Details are being finalised and will be on the site soon.
All courses are a combination of classroom sessions based at our partner hotel, Hotel les Aiglons, and time spent outside shooting.
About the course:
Do you like taking pictures when you are out having adventures, but are often disappointed with the results? Would you like to understand some of the basic controls of your camera? If so, this day will be invaluable. The day will begin with a classroom session looking at the fundamentals of photography in the outdoors. Corey and Scott will help you get the most from your camera, no matter if you use, a point and shoot, a creative compact, or a DSLR. Then we will head out into the streets of Chamonix to put what we have learned into practice. This course is also a perfect refresher day for those moving onto the three-day workshop.
