UCPA Holiday Centre, Chamonix exterior

1. Action Outdoors - UCPA Tour Operator

Action Outdoors is the UK Partner of UCPA, a French not for profit organisation offering affordable, all-inclusive activity holidays to top French resorts.

Dating back more than 40 years, the original UCPA concept still holds strong today; making outdoor sports accessible to the masses. They continue to offer prestigious resorts, comfortable accommodation and an abundance of tasty food in a sociable and fun environment.

As well as full board accommodation, your lift pass, tuition and equipment hire are also included in the price. UCPA train all their own instructors and buy their own equipment enabling them to keep costs down and offer very competitively priced holidays.

The Chamonix UCPA is a 2 minute walk from the main town square and is a refurbished Victorian style residence. This centre is one of the best in UCPA, and is excellent for those who want to enjoy some of the best skiing in Europe, whilst staying in the centre of a vibrant and lively town.

Rooms are sold on a multi-share basis and sleep 4-6 people, with shared bathroom and toilet facilities just a few steps away in the corridor. The centre also has a number of twin rooms available for a small supplement if you prefer to have a bit more privacy, but these are very popular and tend to get booked first. Sleeping up to 200 people in total, this is a great accommodation choice for a large group of friends or a sports club looking to keep costs reasonable.

The Chamonix centre has its own sports bar and nightclub on site, sauna, kit room and large drying area. All meals are included and are taken in the spacious dining room with stunning views of Mont Blanc. Whilst the centre is only situated 2 minutes walk from town, when you can even rent and service your skis/boards on site, you'll just have no reason to leave the premises except to ski!

2. Collineige Tour Operator

Collineige offers both catered and self-catered chalets, drawing on over thirty-five years of experience in Chamonix. Large enough to provide a wide range of properties, yet small enough to deliver a truly personalised service year-round.

The properties in Collineige’s portfolio have been chosen with great care and are set in outstanding locations, offering a high level of comfort. They can accommodate anywhere from two guests up to fifteen.

Chamonix is a fabulous resort. Famous for its incredible off-piste skiing, it also offers wonderfully inspiring slopes for beginners and intermediates. Unlike modern resorts, Chamonix existed long before skiing or snowboarding were ever dreamt of, meaning there is a rich cultural heritage alongside a wealth of sporting activities.

In winter, you can discover the mountains from a different perspective - whether on snowshoes, cross-country or touring skis, or even by paragliding. For the more adventurous, ice-climbing frozen waterfalls is also possible, while spring brings mountain biking along the valley floor. Summer opens up countless opportunities for hiking, climbing, and cycling.

If you prefer to take it easy, Chamonix has plenty of options for relaxation and pampering. Enjoy a spa visit in town, a massage in your own chalet, or a peaceful swim at the local aquatic centre.
