Chamonix has nearly 3km of vertical and the highest lift-accessed off-piste anywhere in the world. But Chamonix isn’t only for powder hounds and extreme riders. It’s a resort for all levels, and there are lift passes here to suit all types of winter sports enthusiasts.

For skiers and snowboarders, your main options are:

• Chamonix Le Pass - gives you access to the Brévent-Flégère, Grands Montets and Balme ski areas
• Mont Blanc Unlimited - covers all areas in the Chamonix valley, including the Aiguille du Midi lift (3,842m) and a whole lot more
• Les Houches - St Gervais pass - gives you access to 31km of groomed pistes in the Les Houches resort, but nowhere else in the valley

A ski pass is the same thing as a lift pass - it's a credit card sized ticket that allows you to ride the lifts and ski the slopes in Chamonix. Most people buy a six day pass if they're coming for a week.
